Dave and I opened Puget Sound Propulsion in December of 2005. All we had was a pocket full of enthusiasm, determination, and way down in the bottom....a small amount of coffee money. We wanted to make sure that our club, Washington Aerospace Club (WAC), had the motors to still fly in the absence of our local supplier. We were rapidly expanding our launch schedule when word got out that we had AP AND we traveled. By the end of the year, we were servicing 5 clubs in 4 cities.
Since our beginning, we have had the desire to support hobby rocketry. Informing those new fliers and inspiring them so they could achieve their dreams. Ultimately, Involving the younger fliers to develop skills in math and science. Knowing that there is more to rocketry than the up and then down part. Inspire to expand into areas that encourage knowledge in electronic packages, computers and software.
We sponsor Team America Rocketry Challenge Teams in the Northwest. We provide discounts for hardware and propellant, encouragement, and technical information where we can. The Teams that we have come to know have fresh looks at the 'how-to' part. Their enthusiasm is very infectious.
